Sveaborg beanie
Sveaborg beanie
The Sveaborg beanie is started with a tubular cast on, which makes the cast on edge neat and stretchy, although instructions are provided for the long tail cast on method as well. The cable pattern is both charted and written.
The Sveaborg beanie is designed to get you through even the chilliest and windiest days of the winter season. The hat got its name from a little island of Sveaborg (aka Suomenlinna) that is situated in front of my hometown Helsinki. On calm and sunny days, it is a popular day trip destination for people living in Helsinki, but the weather can get quite rough on a stormy day when the wind blows from the open sea.
The Sveaborg beanie matches my Sveaborg collar and Sveaborg Pullover patterns.
