THIS KNITTING PATTERN IS A DIGITAL DOWNLOAD IN PDF FORMAT AND IN ENGLISH ONLY!
The Skatta hat is knitted with two strands of yarn and the brim is folded triple for extra warmth and coziness during the winter months. The Skatta hat got its name from Helsinki’s seaside Katajanokka neighborhood, which is called Skatudden in Swedish, thus the nickname of the area - Skatta.
You can easily adjust the length of the hat to get the fit you want. The hat is knitted from top down, so you can try it on as you knit it to make sure the hat is just perfect for your head. After the crown shaping the rest of the hat is just simple 2x2 ribbing.
The Skatta hat is designed for everyday use, and it knits up surprisingly fast. You can either go for a muted look by using just one color or go for a marled look with two different shades of yarn.
