Sierra top
Sierra top
THIS KNITTING PATTERN IS A DIGITAL DOWNLOAD IN PDF FORMAT AND IN ENGLISH ONLY!
The Sierra tank top is knitted seamlessly from the top down. It has a minimalistic design which makes it perfect for everyday use and easy to use as a layering piece under a cardigan or a jacket.
The top is started at the shoulders by knitting the shoulders separately before joining at the neck. The front and back are joined at the underarm. The body is knitted in the round. The hem is folded double to give the top a neat and finished look. The neck and armhole edges are finished with i-cord bind off.
The Sierra top is best suited for cotton, viscose or linen blend yarns that have a lot of drape. You can either knit the top with a single strand of DK weight yarn or two strands of fingering weight yarn held together. If you are choosing the fingering weight version, you can knit with both strands in the same color or go for a marled look by choosing two different shades.
