The socks are worked toe-up in fingering weight yarn, beginning with Judy's Magic Cast-On, and are easiest to knit using the magic loop method. The diamond cable pattern is worked first over the instep, then continues over the whole leg after the heel is finished. The heel is shaped with gussets and a French-heel-inspired construction, with a reinforced heel flap for extra durability in everyday wear. Both written and charted instructions are provided for the cable pattern.
The foot and cuff length are both adjustable. For the cable pattern to show at its best, choose a solid or slightly variegated colorway.
