Polymnia was the muse of hymns, sacred poetry, dance and eloquence. The name Polymnia means “many hymns.”

The Polymnia mitts are started with an optional tubular cast on, which provides a stretchy edge to the cuffs. A classic cable pattern is worked on top of the mitts and the rest of the mitts are worked in 2x2 ribbing.

225 m / 245 yards of DK weight yarn.

Needles

3.5 mm / US 4 DPNs or circular needles with a cable suitable for small circumference knitting 

Gauge

20 sts and 32 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches of 2x2 ribbing, measured over slightly stretched fabric, after gentle blocking.
