Poetria means female poet in Latin. This pullover is the sister of my most popular pattern, Poet, which was originally published in the Laine magazine issue 6.

The Poetria pullover is knitted with a strand of fingering weight merino held together with a strand of lace weight silk mohair for a luxurious and incredibly lightweight and soft fabric. However you can easily substitute that for a single strand of DK weight yarn.

The pullover is knitted seamlessly from the top down holding both yarns together through the whole pullover. The neck shaping is worked flat after which the rest of the pullover is worked in the round. The lace pattern is knitted on both front and back of the sweater. The raglan sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch in the round. The neckband is worked last by picking up stitches along the cast-on edge.
