The Daydreamer scarf is a cute little accessory that works beautifully on its own or paired with the other designs in the Daydreamer family (the pullover, the cardigan, the tee and the skirt). It features the same easy lace pattern and columns of faux-cables as the rest of the collection, with a small frill at each end.
The Daydreamer scarf is a slim, long scarf that adds a bit of whimsy to your outfit. The pattern has two lengths: the shorter scarf is easy to just throw on and tied at front, and the longer one can be looped around the neck. However, the length of the scarf is easy to adjust. Just keep adding repeats of the lace pattern until your scarf is long as you like (or you have used almost all of your yarn - remember to save a little for the frills!)
The pattern gives you plenty of room to play with yarn. You can use the left overs from your other Daydreamer projects for a cohesive set, or go for a bold contrasting color and texture. Work the scarf with a single strand of DK weight yarn for a classic defined look, hold a fingering weight yarn with a strand of mohair or suri alpaca, for a soft halo, or use two strands of fluffy mohair for a cloud-like, super light scarf.
